The Philippines ranked 2nd in Asia and 7th worldwide as one of the World's beauty queen powerhouses. The Philippines is a supreme powerhouse of Miss Earth and as the host country, they made the first cut every year - except in 2006.The Philippines has the third best record among Asian countries at Miss World in this decade: Consecutive placements from 2002-2005 with 2 runner-ups, a finalist and a semifinalist.
This Southeast Asian country is also a traditional powerhouse at Miss International; their successes in this Tokyo-based pageant since 2000: a winner in 2005 and 3 semifinalists.
But since 1999 to now, no other Miss Philippines has been able to land into the semi or quarter-finals (top 10, 15 or 20) of Miss Universe - the most favorite pageant here.
