What environmental project will you create to promote the protection of Mother Earth and why?
"When the last tree is cut, when the last fish is poisoned, when the last bird is caught, only then will humanity understand that they can't eat money"- Indian leader (XIX century)
One of the main problems in our planet is air pollution. This situation is more difficult in touristic countries and regions, such as Crimea. Every year more than 5 million tourists visit Crimea to experience our beautiful nature, go sightsing and visit museums. I think that two of the main causes of air pollution is deforestation and the exhaust of transport and heating systems. For me it is very important to work with NGOs, media and corporations in creating the foundation "HEALTHFUL AIR".
The main goals of this foundation should be:
- Teaching students and children the ecology of our planet and country, working with media to support the propaganda of healthy living and caring for surrounding environment.
- Encouraging companies and corporations to apply Corporate Social Responsibility
- Organization of activities for protecting the environment (such as landing new trees in forests on weekends. The main goal is to rid the forests of garbage)
- Creation and implementation of the program to encourage the use of ecologically clean sources of energy and transport with the support of the government of Crimea.
What makes you proud of the country you are representing, and what can you promote about your country?
Crimea has a rich history, the remains of which you can see today. There are the Greek ruins at Xersones, the Geonese fortress of Sudak, the cave towns of Bakhchisarai, the Livadia palace; where Stalin, Roosevelt and Churchill carved up Europe at the end of the 2nd World War, and much more. Crimea has a large variety of very impressive historical sights. Crimea is a very beautiful part of the world. It offers a combination of spectacular mountains, cliffs and the sparkling Black sea. The peninsula contains untouched forests, deep canyons and interesting rock formations, as well as a multitude of palaces and monuments to its historical past. Crimea's combination of natural beauty and historical monuments is practically unsurpassed. Crimea's sea and mountains offer great opportunities for outdoor adventure activities, including climbing, biking, caving and diving. Its particularly exciting to do such activities in Crimea, as the tourist infrastructure is not well developed. If you are hiking in the mountains for instance, you can be close to amenities and comforts whist still feeling like you are out there in the wild. My home is one the most unbelievable place of the world! It is the most beautiful part of the Earth. I love Crimea and I believe that you will love it too.
Describe your childhood/growing years.
Thanks to God and to my parents I had great childhood. I got good education and background. I was good at science and poetry, was a leader in school and social worker. I spent my childhood with my lovely sister and parents who helped me every time I need one. I remember my young years as beautiful fairy tale which took place in amazing land- Crimea. I will do everything to give my children so many love and care as I had.
What lessons did you learn from your childhood/growing years? ?
If you want something all universe will help you. You need to dream and your dreams will come true. And never stop on results you have.
What is your environmental advocacy?
As I have already said I want to create the foundation "HEALTHFUL AIR". We need to bring up love and care to nature since childhood, so I will create and do special courses of ecology in schools. The main effect will bring special programs created with government of Crimea to stimulate using the alternative sources of energy. More than 30 years we use in Crimea sun and wind energy, transport which is working by electricity. The government should have special taxes for companies which use ecological free sources of energy and have programs of corporate social responsibility. We need to plant new trees and to create new parks and green zones in terms of CSR and social work. With working together, people can have clean and healthy air, water and beautiful future for them and their children!
