Miss American Continent 2011 Claudia Schiess, the representative of Ecuador, was crowned Miss American Continent 2011 competing at home, in the city of Guayaquil. Claudia had previously represented her country in Miss Supranational 2010 and Miss Universe 2011.
The 1st runner-up came from the Dominican Republic, Dalia Fernandez, who also competed in Miss Universe 2011. Mexico’s Cecilia Montaño was the 2nd runner-up.
The other three finalists were the candidates of Brazil, Colombia, and Panama.
Both Ecuador and Dominican Republic failed to advance to the semi-finals when competing in Miss Universe, earlier this year.
